4-day long Chhath festival has started from 24th October 2017 with Nahai-Khai and will end on 27th October 2017 with giving ‘arghya’ to the rising sun by the devotees in Chandigarh. And on 26th and 27th Oct 2017, devotees will celebrate Kharna and give arghya to setting sun respectively in the city beautiful Chandigarh as a part of Chhath Puja.

Devotees of Chhath Puja 2017 in Chandigarh is too excited to celebrate the festival in Chandigarh. Likewise every year, Bihar Parishad has decorated the Sector 42 (Chandigarh) New Lake for the Chhath Puja so that devotees can give arghya to the sun. On 26th Oct 2017, devotees will give arghya to setting sun in evening around 3 pm and on the very next day i.e 27th Oct 2017, devotees will pray to the rising sun on early morning around 4-5 am at New Lake, Sector 42 Chandigarh. More than 1 Lakh devotees are expected gather during the Chhath Puja 2017 in Chandigarh.
